Program overview
Facials, gel nails, bridal makeup and spa body treatments: could you master all of them in under a year? St. Clair’s Esthetician (Fast Track) (B912) compresses a two-year Ontario College Diploma into three back-to-back semesters, completed in less than twelve months at the South Campus in Windsor.
Semester one covers Esthetic Foundations, Skin Care Techniques I, Hair Removal, Manicure Techniques, Pedicure Techniques, Nail Fundamentals, Spa Operations and Identity, Perception, And Beauty. Semester two builds science and artistry with Human Anatomy, Esthetic Sciences, Skin Care Techniques II, Makeup Artistry, Spa Business Practices, Wellness, Mind And Body and Esthetics Clinic I. The final semester brings Skin Care Techniques III, Artificial Nail Techniques, Spa Treatments and Esthetic Clinic II, so you finish able to deliver facials, specialised skin care, body treatments, nail enhancements, therapeutic pedicures and makeup artistry.
Clinic hours in the fast-track esthetics diploma take place in the College Student Spa Clinic on campus, which is designed to replicate a professional spa, so you treat members of the public under faculty supervision rather than practising only on classmates. Training follows national, provincial and industry standards, and instruction includes spa software and digital marketing as well as hands-on treatment technique. Credit transfer and pathway agreements are available if you later want further study.
Graduates work as estheticians, spa therapists, nail technicians, makeup artists, lash and brow technicians and beauty consultants or cosmetic retail specialists, in spas, salons, wellness centres and medical esthetic practices. The compressed B912 timetable suits a focused, organised learner who already knows esthetics is the goal and wants to reach the treatment room sooner than the standard two-year route allows.
