Our program features a unique practicum component, providing hands-on learning opportunities that bridge theory with real-world practice. Under the guidance of dedicated faculty supervisors, students benefit from individualized placement matching, ensuring alignment with their professional interests and goals.

Throughout the program, students engage in 350 practicum hours annually (effective 2024/25), gaining invaluable experience at a range of esteemed organizations. These placements include addiction treatment centers, disability centers, probation and correctional facilities, schools, women's shelters, and youth centers. These diverse settings allow students to apply their knowledge and skills in real-world contexts, preparing them for the complexities of social work practice.

By immersing themselves in meaningful practicum experiences, students develop the practical competencies and empathy needed to make a positive difference in the lives of others.
