Students work on diesel engines, hydraulics, powertrains, electrical systems and preventive maintenance for trucks and heavy machinery — the equipment that runs Saskatchewan's agriculture, mining and transport economy — with a work placement in industry.

Saskatchewan Polytechnic is the province of Saskatchewan’s public polytechnic, founded in 1959, with a graduate employment rate of about 96% — among the strongest in Canadian post-secondary education. Programs are co-designed with industry advisors and taught hands-on in labs, shops and simulation facilities at the Saskatoon campus, in one of Canada’s most affordable student cities.
