Saskatchewan Polytechnic is the province of Saskatchewan’s public polytechnic, founded in 1959, with a graduate employment rate of about 96% — among the strongest in Canadian post-secondary education. Programs are co-designed with industry advisors and taught hands-on in labs, shops and simulation facilities at the Saskatoon campus, in one of Canada’s most affordable student cities. Graduates who stay and work in Saskatchewan can also pursue the Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP) and the province’s Graduate Retention Program, which rebates up to $20,000 of tuition through tax credits.

Who can apply (guide for international students):

  • Education: Completed Grade 12 / High School with approximately 65% or better.
  • IELTS: Overall 6.5, no band below 5.5 (one band at 5.5 accepted)
  • TOEFL iBT: R-19.0, W-19.0, L-19.0, S-19.0, Total 81.0
  • PTE: R-50, W-50, L-50, S-50, Overall 63
  • Duolingo: 110
  • GRE/GMAT: Not required.
  • Specific requirement: Grade 12 Math at 70% required, plus one of Physics, Chemistry or Computer Science at 70%.

Application fee $150 CAD; a non-refundable tuition deposit of $5,000 CAD is due within 30 days of the offer letter and counts toward tuition. A Provincial Attestation Letter (PAL) is requested by the institution after the deposit. Ask an Apply Study Visa counsellor before paying any deposit.
