Associate of Science - Biochemistry

The Associate of Science - Biochemistry at Selkirk College’s Castlegar campus is a 2 year associate's degree a two-year associate of science concentrating in biochemistry for university transfer.

Students complete rigorous first- and second-year chemistry, biology, biochemistry and mathematics in small classes with real laboratory access from day one, then transfer into third year at BC universities under the provincial transfer system — the classic runway toward biochemistry, biotechnology and professional health programs.

Selkirk College, founded in 1966 as British Columbia’s first regional community college, is a fully public institution in the province’s West Kootenay region. The 65-hectare forested Castlegar campus offers genuinely small classes, on-campus student housing, and some of the lowest combined tuition-and-living costs of any BC public college.
