Honours Bachelor of Commerce - Marketing (Co-op)

The Honours Bachelor of Commerce – Marketing is a four-year co-op degree covering marketing strategy, analytics and brand management.

Upper-year coursework covers consumer behaviour, marketing research methods and analysis, brand management, integrated marketing communications, digital marketing and performance channels, marketing analytics and attribution, pricing strategy, product development and management, business-to-business marketing, international marketing, sales management, and a strategic marketing capstone.

The analytics weighting is what justifies four years over a shorter credential. Marketers who can connect spend to revenue, run valid tests and defend a budget move into management; those who only produce creative output remain in execution roles regardless of talent. Co-op provides the measurable results that marketing employers hire on.

All Seneca Honours Bachelor of Commerce degrees share a common business core: financial and managerial accounting, microeconomics and macroeconomics, business mathematics and statistics, marketing principles, organisational behaviour, business law, information systems, operations management and business communication. Specialisation deepens through the upper years alongside paid co-op work terms.

Newnham is Seneca’s largest campus, on Finch Avenue East in North York, with its own residence, library, athletic centre and specialised technical labs. It sits on the TTC network with subway connections, and carries the bulk of Seneca’s business, technology and engineering catalogue — which means the widest range of student clubs, services and peers of any Seneca site.

Seneca Polytechnic — formerly Seneca College — is one of Ontario’s largest public colleges and a Designated Learning Institution. Newnham is its biggest campus, on Finch Avenue East in North York, and carries the bulk of Seneca’s business, technology, engineering technology, aviation and applied science catalogue. It has its own residence, a large library and athletic centre, and sits on the TTC network with connections to the subway.

Its field maps to CIP 52.1401 (Marketing). Because this is a degree, graduates are exempt from the November 2024 PGWP field-of-study restriction that applies to college credentials. Full-time on-campus study and graduation remain the conditions, and IRCC makes the final decision.
