Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) - Human Resources Management

The Bachelor of Business Administration – Human Resources Management is the three-year BBA with a declared major in human resources management.

The shared BBA core covers financial and managerial accounting, economics, business mathematics and statistics, marketing principles, organisational behaviour and human resources, business law, operations and supply chain management, information systems, business ethics, analytics and strategic management. The human resources major adds recruitment and selection, compensation and benefits, training and development, Ontario employment and labour law, labour relations and HR analytics.

Two points on choosing. The BBA runs three years against four for the Honours Bachelor of Commerce, meaning lower total cost but a shorter Post-Graduation Work Permit and no paid co-op. As a degree it is exempt from the PGWP field-of-study restriction that applies to Seneca’s business diplomas. Newnham is Seneca’s largest campus, on Finch Avenue East in North York, with its own residence, library, athletic centre and specialised technical labs. It sits on the TTC network with subway connections, and carries the bulk of Seneca’s business, technology and engineering catalogue — which means the widest range of student clubs, services and peers of any Seneca site.

Seneca Polytechnic — formerly Seneca College — is one of Ontario’s largest public colleges and a Designated Learning Institution. Newnham is its biggest campus, on Finch Avenue East in North York, and carries the bulk of Seneca’s business, technology, engineering technology, aviation and applied science catalogue. It has its own residence, a large library and athletic centre, and sits on the TTC network with connections to the subway.
