College Diploma - Real Property Administration - Assessment and Appraisal (Accelerated)

The Real Property Administration – Assessment and Appraisal (Accelerated) diploma compresses the property valuation curriculum into eight months, for applicants who already hold a related credential.

Content covers property valuation principles and the three approaches to value, residential and commercial appraisal methodology, property assessment for municipal taxation, real property law and ownership interests, land registration and title, building construction fundamentals, market analysis, mass appraisal techniques, and report writing to professional standards.

Unusually among Seneca’s accelerated programs, this carries the same $17,234 fee as the two-year version rather than a premium, which makes it better value if you qualify for entry. The trade-off remains the Post-Graduation Work Permit: eight months is the minimum length for PGWP consideration at all, so the two-year program gives substantially more permit runway. Note Seneca also runs this at the York campus at $15,133.

Newnham is Seneca’s largest campus, on Finch Avenue East in North York, with its own residence, library, athletic centre and specialised technical labs. It sits on the TTC network with subway connections, and carries the bulk of Seneca’s business, technology and engineering catalogue — which means the widest range of student clubs, services and peers of any Seneca site.

Seneca Polytechnic — formerly Seneca College — is one of Ontario’s largest public colleges and a Designated Learning Institution. Newnham is its biggest campus, on Finch Avenue East in North York, and carries the bulk of Seneca’s business, technology, engineering technology, aviation and applied science catalogue. Important: this is a college credential rather than a degree, so it is not exempt from the November 2024 PGWP field-of-study restriction — eligibility depends on this CIP field appearing on IRCC’s eligible list when you apply.
