Bachelor of Arts - English and Creative Writing (Honours)

This joint degree pairs the study of literature with the practice of writing it: workshops in fiction, poetry and script alongside critical modules, so that students read as writers and write with critical awareness.

The workshop method is the course’s engine — producing work, submitting it to peer and tutor critique, and revising it repeatedly — which builds both craft and the professional resilience that receiving editorial feedback requires.

Publishing and professional-practice teaching covers submissions, agents, competitions and the realities of the market, and Entry is possible at five points per the export, with January starts alongside each September cycle.

Families sometimes worry that creative writing is self-indulgent; the honest counter is that workshop training teaches deadline production, structural revision and the ability to absorb criticism without collapse, which are professional capabilities employers name repeatedly as scarce.
