Program overview
The MSc Management with Data Analytics with Professional Development Planning (PDP) at BPP University is an extended 18-month, full-time postgraduate program. It combines the technical rigour of data science with the strategic oversight of a management degree, plus a dedicated 6-month employability module.
This program is designed for graduates who want to secure senior roles in the UK or globally but feel they need extra support to transition from the classroom to the boardroom. The core difference between this and the standard 12-month course is the Professional Development Planning (PDP) component.
Key features of the program include:
Extended Duration (18 Months): The first 12 months cover your academic modules, while the final 6 months are dedicated entirely to professional development, bridging the gap between university and employment.
Specialized PDP Module: This non-credit bearing but essential module provides structured coaching on interview techniques, complex problem solving, and career management. It often involves opportunities for internships, voluntary work, or employer-provided projects.
Data Fluency for Managers: You will not just learn to manage teams; you will learn to speak the language of data. Modules like "Programming for Data Analysts" and "Applied Modelling and Visualisation" ensure you can communicate effectively with technical data teams.
Strategic Application: The course focuses on the "why" and "how" of data—teaching you to use insights to drive profitability, sustainability, and efficiency (e.g., through the "Data Driven Decisions for Business" module).
Post-Study Work Ready: The extended length and focus on UK workplace culture make this an excellent choice for international students aiming to utilize the Graduate Route (Post-Study Work) visa.
