Program overview

The MSc Accounting and Finance with Professional Development Planning at BPP University is a step-up program for people who want to grow into strong leaders in money and business fields. It builds on the standard course by adding extra time for real-world career practice. If you have a bachelor's degree and want to learn how to handle accounting, finance, and big decisions in companies, this is for you. BPP works with big global firms to make sure the lessons match what jobs need today, like using tech and data to spot risks or grow businesses in a green way.

The program starts with basics to get everyone on the same page. In the first part, you learn about ethics in finance, hot topics in the industry, cloud tools for accounting, big data, and how to use info to make smart choices. This helps you think like a pro from day one. Then, you move to deeper stuff, like planning strategies for companies, handling money reports, and thinking about the planet in business—like sustainable ways to track success. The last academic part covers how to run businesses well during tough times and a big project where you solve a real finance problem on your own.

What makes this version special is the Professional Development Planning (PDP) part. It's not in the standard 12-month course. PDP adds six months at the end for career boosts. You get one-on-one coaching to plan your future, workshops on skills like interviews and networking, and access to online courses from places like LinkedIn. BPP helps set up things like internships, projects, or volunteer work—paid or not—to give you hands-on experience. This can help you get a job faster and even qualify for UK work visas after studying. If you're an international student, this is great for building your resume and connections.

You can choose paths too. The general route covers wide topics for beginners in finance. If you already have some ACCA quals (like their skills and knowledge papers), there's a special ACCA route with advanced modules on taxes, audits, performance, and money management. These prep you for top ACCA exams while earning your master's.

Classes are full-time, about 10-14 hours a week in person at spots like London or Manchester, plus your own study time. You can start in months like September or January. BPP uses real examples from big companies, so it's not just theory—it's stuff you can use right away. Tests mix exams, essays, reports, and talks, with feedback to help you improve. If you need extra support, like for English or special needs, they have that too.
