Program overview

A one year master of laws in technology regulation, covering cyber law, data protection, artificial intelligence governance, digital rights and a legal dissertation.

This is one of only three courses at Bath Spa that refuse the Duolingo English Test, and it asks IELTS 6.5 with 6.0 in every band.

Master of Laws in Cybersecurity and Emerging Technologies is taught at Bath Spa University, a public university in England with full degree awarding powers. Because the cybersecurity law master is a degree, it supports an application under the UK Graduate Route, which gives two years of unsponsored work in Britain after you finish. No job offer or sponsor is needed for the cybersecurity law master, but you must be inside the UK on a valid student visa when you apply. Your student visa covers the length of the cybersecurity law master plus a short period afterwards. UK rules from January 2024 bar a dependant partner or child on taught courses, so the cybersecurity law master does not support a family move.

The academic bar for Master of Laws in Cybersecurity and Emerging Technologies is a completed bachelor degree with 50 percent. The English requirement is IELTS 6.5 with 6.0 in every band, and tuition for the cybersecurity law master is recorded at GBP 17,485. Bath Spa charges no application fee, and no scholarship is recorded against the cybersecurity law master. The cybersecurity law master lists three entry windows, one September start in each of three consecutive years. Apply Study Visa manages your the cybersecurity law master application, the deposit, the offer, the CAS and the UK student visa as one process.
