Master of Animation, Games, and Immersive Experiences is taught at Sheridan College Trafalgar campus in Oakville, a public Ontario college on the post-secondary institution list. Because the animation and immersive experiences masters is a master degree, it is exempt from the PGWP field of study requirement entirely, and supports a post-graduation work permit of up to three years whatever the subject. - Application and deposit: Sheridan charges a CAD 100 application fee. Confirm the tuition deposit and its refundability in writing before any money is transferred.
- Scholarship: No scholarship is recorded against this programme. Budget the full tuition.
- Additional requirement: This programme runs two years, clearing Canada’s sixteen month threshold, so it MAY support a spousal open work permit. IRCC assesses that separately from your own permit. Sheridan offers an International Entrance Scholarship of CAD 3,000 toward tuition. Awards are limited, so budget the full fee regardless.
- Work rights: The animation and immersive experiences masters is a master degree, exempt from the field of study rule, supporting a work permit of up to three years. A PGWP also requires a language test at CLB 7 in all four abilities for degree graduates, taken within two years of applying. This is separate from the English test you need for admission. A spousal open work permit is assessed separately again. As a master degree of sixteen months or longer it MAY also support a spousal open work permit, which is assessed by IRCC separately from your own permit.
