- Additional requirement: The Duolingo English Test is NOT accepted. Registered Practical Nurse is a protected title in Ontario requiring registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario and the REx-PN examination. A vulnerable sector police check, immunisation records and clinical placement clearance are required before placement. These take longer to arrange from overseas than most applicants expect, so begin them as soon as you hold an offer. St. Lawrence publishes its aligned list under a June 2025 heading and notes the IRCC codes were last updated in July 2025. That is older than the lists other Ontario colleges publish, so verify this CIP code against IRCC directly before paying any deposit.
