Program overview
A four year engineering degree in sustainable design, covering life cycle assessment, energy efficient systems, sustainable materials, environmental engineering and paid co-op work terms, with applied practice running through the programme.
This is the newest of the engineering degrees here, and it sits where engineering meets the climate and energy transition.
Bachelor of Engineering in Sustainable Design Engineering is taught at Conestoga College Cambridge Fountain Street, a public Ontario college on the post-secondary institution list. Because the sustainable design engineering degree is a degree, it is exempt from the PGWP field of study requirement that applies to college level credentials. Conestoga records the sustainable design engineering degree under CIP 14.4801. That exemption lets the sustainable design engineering degree support a post-graduation work permit of up to three years whatever the subject. Ontario still requires a provincial attestation letter before the sustainable design engineering degree can support a study permit application.
Admission to Bachelor of Engineering in Sustainable Design Engineering requires Grade 12 or equivalent at 70 percent. The English requirement is IELTS 6.5 with no band below 6.0, and tuition for the sustainable design engineering degree is recorded at CAD 15,961.
