Bachelor of Animation

A three year bachelor degree in animation, covering drawing and design, character and creature animation, three dimensional production pipelines, storytelling and paid co-op terms, with applied practice running through the programme, with applied practice running through the programme, with applied practice running through the programme, with applied practice running through the programme.

This is the exempt route into animation, and it stands apart from the three animation college credentials at this campus that are not aligned.

Bachelor of Animation is taught at Conestoga College Doon campus, a public Ontario college on the post-secondary institution list. Because the animation degree is a degree, it is exempt from the PGWP field of study requirement that applies to college level credentials. Conestoga records the animation degree under CIP 10.0304. That exemption lets the animation degree support a post-graduation work permit of up to three years whatever the subject. Ontario still requires a provincial attestation letter before the animation degree can support a study permit application.

Admission to Bachelor of Animation requires Grade 12 or equivalent at 65 percent. The English requirement is IELTS 6.5 with no band below 6.0, and tuition for the animation degree is recorded at CAD 15,961. Conestoga charges a CAD 100 application fee, and no scholarship is recorded against the animation degree. The animation degree lists three entry windows across the annual intake cycle.
