This is the exempt route into design, standing apart from the graphic design advanced diploma and the design foundations certificate at this campus.

Bachelor of Design (Honours) is taught at Conestoga College Doon campus, a public Ontario college on the post-secondary institution list. Because the design degree is a degree, it is exempt from the PGWP field of study requirement that applies to college level credentials. Conestoga records the design degree under CIP 50.0409. That exemption lets the design degree support a post-graduation work permit of up to three years whatever the subject. Ontario still requires a provincial attestation letter before the design degree can support a study permit application.

The academic bar for Bachelor of Design (Honours) is Grade 12 or equivalent with 65 percent. The English requirement is IELTS 6.5 with no band below 6.0, and tuition for the design degree is recorded at CAD 15,961.
