Program overview

A one year graduate certificate in waste and resource recovery, covering waste streams and diversion, circular economy practice, regulation and compliance, facility operations and applied projects, with applied practice running through the programme.

Guelph runs three sustainability certificates and Conestoga lists two of the three, which makes comparing their codes essential before choosing.

Graduate Certificate in Sustainable Waste Management is taught at Conestoga College Guelph campus, a public Ontario college. The sustainable waste management certificate sits below degree level, so a work permit depends on its field of study. Conestoga records the sustainable waste management certificate under CIP 15.0501 and lists it among its PGWP-aligned programmes, which supports a permit of up to one year. IRCC alone decides, so verify 15.0501 against the current eligible list before paying for the sustainable waste management certificate. Ontario also requires a provincial attestation letter before the sustainable waste management certificate can support a study permit.

The academic bar for Graduate Certificate in Sustainable Waste Management is a completed undergraduate diploma or equivalent with 50 percent. The English requirement is IELTS 6.5 with no band below 6.0, and tuition for the sustainable waste management certificate is recorded at CAD 15,844. Conestoga charges a CAD 100 application fee, and no scholarship is recorded against the sustainable waste management certificate. The sustainable waste management certificate lists seven entry windows across September, January and May. Apply Study Visa manages your the sustainable waste management certificate application, the deposit, the offer, the attestation letter and the Canadian study permit as one process.
