Program overview

The Honours Bachelor of Environmental Design and Planning (BED1) (Co-op) is a 4 year program at Fanshawe College’s London campus.

This honours degree fuses design studios with planning theory, GIS, ecology and policy across four co-op years โ€” preparing graduates for the land-use questions every Ontario municipality is hiring around. Housing targets, climate adaptation and growth planning all route through this professional pipeline.

Scale is the quiet advantage here: specialised facilities, a vast alumni network and a co-op office with real employer reach, in a city thousands of dollars cheaper per year than the big metros.

As an honours degree (CIP 04.0301 — field of study) it is exempt from the field-of-study test entirely: graduates remain PGWP-eligible for up to three years regardless of list changes, with IRCC holding final decisions.
