Program overview
The Honours Bachelor of Interior Design (BID1) (Co-op) is a 4 year program at Fanshawe College’s London campus.
The interior design honours degree is the profession's full preparation: studio-intensive design development, technical documentation, materials and lighting across four years with co-op, aligned toward ARIDO/NCIDQ qualification. In a portfolio profession, the degree adds what portfolios cannot — licensure standing and PGWP field-rule exemption.
The student infrastructure is mature — established housing near campus, transit in student fees, employers used to hiring international graduates — and Fanshawe’s PGWP-aligned list gives the post-study plan structure.
As an honours degree (CIP 50.0408 — Interior design) it is exempt from the field-of-study test entirely: graduates remain PGWP-eligible for up to three years regardless of list changes, with IRCC holding final decisions.
