The Pre-Health Science Pathway to Certificates and Diplomas at Fleming College in Peterborough, Ontario is a preparation program that helps you build the academic foundation needed to enter Fleming’s health-related certificate and diploma programs. In eight months you will strengthen your knowledge of human biology, chemistry, mathematics, communications and academic skills, giving you the grounding that competitive health programs expect. It is an ideal route if you want a healthcare career but need to meet science and academic prerequisites first.

You will study foundational science and math, develop study and communication skills, and prepare academically and confidently for programs such as Personal Support Worker, Practical Nursing pathways, and other health certificates and diplomas. The program is designed as a stepping stone rather than a standalone qualification, so its main value is opening doors to further health study. Graduates typically progress into Fleming health programs and, ultimately, healthcare careers. Please note that, as a preparation program, this pathway is generally not eligible for a post-graduation work permit on its own.
