College Diploma - Social Service Worker (SSWP/SSDJ)

The College Diploma - Social Service Worker (SSWP/SSDJ) at Loyalist College's Belleville campus is a two-year college diploma that gives you a strong, career-focused education in this field.

You will prepare to support individuals, families and communities facing social challenges — studying counselling and interviewing skills, human development, social welfare and policy, group facilitation, addictions and mental health, and working with diverse populations — with supervised field placements. Graduates are eligible to register with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers and work in community agencies, shelters, addictions and mental-health services and family support.

Delivered with hands-on labs and placements at Loyalist College's Belleville campus in eastern Ontario. This program is on Loyalist's official PGWP-aligned programs list (CIP 44.0000), so graduates may qualify for a Post-Graduation Work Permit — the final decision always rests with IRCC.
