The College Certificate - Health Care Cook at Saskatchewan Polytechnic’s Moose Jaw campus is a 39 week certificate program including work experience training cooks for healthcare and institutional kitchens.

Students learn quantity cooking, therapeutic and texture-modified diets, food safety systems and institutional kitchen operations, with work experience in a care setting. Hospitals and long-term-care homes staff these kitchens every single day of the year.

Saskatchewan Polytechnic is the province of Saskatchewan’s public polytechnic, with a graduate employment rate of about 96% — among the strongest in Canadian post-secondary education. The Moose Jaw campus is the institution’s original 1959 home and its engineering-technologies heartland, in a friendly small city 45 minutes from Regina with some of the lowest student living costs in Canada.
