Program overview
The Master of Arts in Leadership — Health Care Stream at TWU Richmond is a 17 month master's degree including a practicum for clinicians and health professionals stepping into leadership.
The cohort model combines strategic leadership, organisational change and team development with health-sector application — and a practicum that turns coursework into demonstrated leadership experience inside a health organisation. Faculty are practising leaders, and classmates are working health professionals, making the cohort itself a sector network.
TWU Richmond is the university’s urban Metro Vancouver campus — minutes from Vancouver by transit and close to Vancouver International Airport — purpose-built for graduate and international students. Trinity Western University is a provincially chartered member of Universities Canada, teaches in small professor-led cohorts, and — uniquely among Canadian universities — charges international students the same tuition as domestic students.
As an on-campus master’s degree, the program is exempt from Canada’s post-2024 PGWP field-of-study restriction — graduates may qualify for a Post-Graduation Work Permit of up to three years, and spouses of master’s-level students may qualify for an open work permit under current IRCC rules (final decisions rest with IRCC).
