Program overview
The Bachelor of Kinesiology at UFV focuses on the study of human movement, health, and physical fitness. This program offers students a comprehensive understanding of how the human body functions and responds to physical activity, exercise, and sports. Students will explore areas such as anatomy, physiology, biomechanics, and nutrition, as well as the social and psychological aspects of health and fitness.
The program offers two streams: Exercise Science and Pedagogy. The Exercise Science stream is ideal for students interested in careers related to health and rehabilitation, such as physiotherapy, occupational therapy, or sports medicine. The Pedagogy stream prepares students to become physical education teachers or coaches, focusing on teaching methods and curriculum development for physical education programs.
Graduates of the Bachelor of Kinesiology program are well-prepared for a wide range of careers in the health, fitness, and sports industries. They may work as exercise physiologists, personal trainers, kinesiologists, sports coaches, or wellness consultants. The program also serves as a strong foundation for further education in areas such as physiotherapy, chiropractic, or athletic therapy.
