MSc Project Management at DMU covers the full delivery lifecycle across one year: project planning and control, risk and quality management, commercial and contract awareness, leadership of project teams, and both predictive (waterfall) and agile delivery frameworks. Students work with scheduling software in practical sessions — MS Project and equivalent tools — building real work-breakdown structures, critical paths and earned-value reports rather than studying them abstractly.

The programme accepts graduates from any first degree, and the cohort typically mixes engineers, IT graduates and commerce students, which the group assessments exploit: cross-functional teams plan and defend a complete project business case, then simulate its delivery through change requests and risk events injected by tutors.
