Admission requirements

Who can apply (guide for international students):

  • Education: A bachelor degree of three year duration from a recognised university, per the institution’s published entry table for India. Individual courses may set extra conditions, so have your transcript assessed at application stage.
  • English (meet any one): IELTS Academic 6.0 overall with no band below 5.5; PTE Academic 59 overall with no component below 59; TOEFL iBT 60 total with Reading 8, Writing 18, Listening 7 and Speaking 16. The Duolingo English Test is not accepted.
  • English waiver: Indian applicants with 70 percent or above in English in Class XII from the CBSE or CISCE boards are recorded as eligible for an English test waiver, and medium of instruction routes are also recorded. Confirm the exact position for your board before applying.
  • Application: No application fee. A tuition deposit of GBP 8,750 is recorded to reserve the seat and trigger the Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies. An Early Bird bursary of GBP 4,450 towards the first year is recorded for this programme; ask for it to be confirmed in writing on your offer letter before you pay anything.
  • Work permit: Master of Science in Social Care, Health and Wellbeing leads to a University of Greater Manchester degree completed at a licensed student sponsor, so it supports a Graduate Route application, granted at 18 months for applications made from January 2027. Dependants cannot accompany students on taught programmes under UK rules in force since January 2024.
  • Student visa: Apply Study Visa completes the Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies stage and the UK student visa submission with you.
