Business Administration: Logistics and Supply Chain Management

Behind every delivered parcel sits a chain of decisions about buying, storing and moving goods, and this programme teaches you to make them. Logistics and Supply Chain Management - Business Administration is a two-year, four-term diploma at RRC Polytech, offered to international students at the Notre Dame Campus in northwest Winnipeg and shaped around Manitoba’s logistics, transportation and supply chain industry.

Term 1 lays the business base with Accounting Fundamentals, Business Mathematics, Marketing Foundations, Human Resource Management and Communication Strategies. Term 2 turns toward the field through Introduction to Supply Chain Management, alongside Economics, Research Methods, Organizational Behaviour, Project Management and Communication for Business. In the second year, Transportation and Logistics Fundamentals and Procurement and Supply Chain Management teach you how goods are sourced, moved and held in inventory, while Client Relationships and Ethics, Diversity and Sustainability shape how you work with suppliers and customers. Term 4 brings Supply Chain Integration, Operations and Quality Management and Business Law.

Teaching at Notre Dame is classroom based, with no co-op term, and the diploma closes with Business Strategy, a capstone course that pulls the accounting, procurement and transportation material into one strategic plan. Several courses meet the academic requirements of the Canadian Institute of Traffic and Transportation (CITT). You bring a Windows 11 laptop, because the business software used in class does not run on macOS. RRC Polytech also lists articulation agreements for this diploma with Booth University College, the University of Manitoba, the University of Winnipeg and Chartered Professional Accountants Manitoba, which gives Notre Dame graduates a route toward degree study later.

Graduates of the logistics diploma move into roles such as logistics coordinator, inventory analyst, procurement assistant, transportation planner, purchasing agent and warehouse supervisor, and with experience can grow toward supply chain or operations manager. The programme suits organised people who enjoy numbers, negotiation and untangling problems with stock and schedules, and who want a business credential with a clear transport and procurement focus.
